Ambulance Services

Emergency Services in Point Russell include three levels of first responders. Depending on the situation described to the 911 dispatcher, the city may send a Police unit, a Fire unit, or Ambulance/Paramedic. The Ambulance Service is staffed by highly qualified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), who are focused on quickly assessing a medical emergency and providing life-saving aid to those in need.

EMT will make a decision about whether someone needs to be transported to the hospital or can be treated on site. EMT will work with the Police and the Fire Departments to provide the most effective coverage for all of those involved in an emergency.

Transportation to the hospital and all medical services will be billed after the event to the affected party's insurance carrier. Those without means to pay for these services will still be treated and if further medical attention is needed, will be transported to the County Hospital.
